The Subject of Marriage Equality

So I work at an art and frame store. In that capacity I meet a lot of random people. Some I only see once and they touch my life and others come back again and again to touch it more. They continue to reach into my life and make me ponder things in my life. With that there is a couple that come in quite often a gay couple. I assume they have been together for many years. One is in a wheel chair as a result of a stroke. To see them interact with each other and the love they have for each other makes me ponder how anyone could deny their love is real.
The powers that be among the so called "Christian" Right would have people believe that this couple's love isn't as "real" as heterosexual love. It is infuriating to me that they could possibly say that their love is some kind of perversion of love. They say that about the whole of the gay community. They get the love and we get the fucking and that is all we are about. We get to be the animals catering to baser instincts. Now not that base animal lust isn't or can't be fun but, we are no more that they are drunken frat parties and the "Oh, my God my period is late". We are all human and all of are capable of base fucking because well duh we are still animals and do feel and have the urge to do it. It's just that humans are and tend to be judgmental, hypocritical and not a little high an mighty at times.
To see the love between these two and others I have seen cannot be denied. You might say well you yourself are gay and thats why you say this. Well you might be right but, I don't fully agree. Because as with these two men and seeing them with each other. If it was just about fucking then why wouldn't the one not in the wheel chair just leave and go find someone else. What can it be but a true representation of love. It is easy to just up and leave when it's just sex and nothing else. When there is a deeper connection like love it makes harder.
I ask those that see our love as less than theirs just because we are of the same sex are misguided and wrong on so many levels. To protect "traditional marriage" one might ask them to make divorce illegal. Or perchance ask them why they say nothing about reality shows where marriage is conducted on television and voted on by the masses between one Bachelor/Bachelorette and many suitors contending for the top prize with the winner getting one million dollars. They also get the title of minor celebrity, darling of the tabs and fifteen minutes of fame. Meanwhile those that see ours as degradation of their definition of that word still cry out we are wrong.
It was recently stated by someone I knew once that I have just as much right to marry a woman as any other man does. I never really said anything to this. Well here it is. He is right technically but and it's a BIG but, what the fuck does a gay man want to marry a woman for? It was one of many silly things he said over a few days. It does not and would not mean a single thing other than marriage on paper.
Here is my solution to this "problem". They worry that marriage as defined by them will be dragged through the mud. I say this let marriages be conducted by everyone's respective religious representative and let the government have civil unions for all. It is implied in the constitution that all people are created equal. Well then we should all have the right to marry.

Leaving the bar
Rainy streets
Down the alley
Leather chaps gleaming under a street lamp
Slammed
Bricks hard against his back
Kissing, biting hard and rough
Lust builds
They must have each other
Cocks hard confined
One by cloth
One by animal skin
Feverishly unleashed
Hips grinding against each other
Kneeling he eyes the beast momentarily
It’s eye crying with need
He sucks in the turgid flesh almost choking him
But this “boy’s” been trained well
His Daddy eyes him
Watching his boy and toying with the boy’s collar
Giving him the look
He wants it
He grabs
Turns
Bends
The boy over the hood of a car
Legs spread
Ass clad in jock
Inviting
Blood rushing
Smack
The hand print now glowing on the naked pale flesh
Licking and tracing the owners mark
He owns the boy totally
He stands
Positioning
Prepared
He plunges
Now joined together with hot flesh
Boy writhing over the hood
Impaled
He likes it
Moaning
Fucking
Like a piston
Pulling all the way out
Taking aim and shoving it all back in
Primal animal
They can’t stop until
Release
Collapsing on the boy
The rain falls

Hippie Poem #1

During
After the rain
Him
Me standing naked
In the mud
Down the hill
Tiny musicians making music on stage
Like insects making thunder in a cloudless sky
In a sea of people
Dancing around fires
Connecting
Minds touching through threads of consciousness
Growing out, up and down
Reaching out to the ends of the universe
And back again
Through every being
We are one and we are many
All of us alone together
Making love
Waging peace
In a world full of hate
We love again
With flowers in our hair
Like satyrs
We roam
To the woods
Making love again
Rain falls

Hello Earth

Hello Earth
We call
Goddess
A whisper growing louder
We
Some of us
Hear you
Watch you
Creating storms
Blowing across your face
Trying to warn
Ridicule
Us
You
Oceans churning with life
Dying
The air
Life giving
Choking
Your forests
Scraped clean off
Her firmament gone
Raped
Our Goddess
She cries
Her children
Disappear
Back to her
Cradling their souls
Lost
Cursing and loving
Us
Didn’t mean to
Misguided
Flawed
Awakening
Some of us evolving
Feeding you
Planting
Sowing
Not too
Late
We…………hope
Hello Earth
We call

I AM

I am
A revolutionary
A 60’s flower child
No, I’m not that old don’t even ask.
Past life thing I think.
A protester
An activist
Round those walls seven times
And saw some cracks
Quiet
Loud
Yelled at the man takin pitchers
I sure did
An artist
A painter
You should see my stuff
Hell, you should buy some!
A liberal
A monarchist
Yeah, I’d do it
I’d bow to H.M. The Queen
Sad, really sad sometimes
Happy
Yeah! I can be happy!
And sad at the same time. Keeps people on their toes.
An idealist
A realist
And sometimes yeah,
They fight. A lot!!!!
Am pro-choice politically
Am pro-life privately
Yeah, I don’t have the right to decide for someone else
But I do for me.
A live and let live kinda guy
Controlling and bossy
Go ahead do what you want
As long as I approve and you do it when I say
A leather guy
A romantic
So I’ll fuck you
And flog you with the roses I brought
Sensitive
Cold
I cry when I think of animal testing
But didn’t think it was sad when Jerry Fallwel died
A nudist
And a prude
When I’m home I’m naked
But I will never go to nudist colony ‘cuz that’s weird
I am all these things dichotomies, similarities
And more
And I’m messing with you. I would go to a nudist colony.
Ha!
I am also a tease.

80s Dream Academy Life in a Northern Town Rare 80s Video

Just here

I am here in my house listening to The Dream Academy. I have not listened to this CD in like forever. I had forgotten just how good it is. If you can find it I seriously suggest checking it out. Very melodic and beautiful.

Another poem I wrote

Walking home
A bagpiper playing
Amazing grace
And
I wept
Missing you

A poem I wrote.

In the world
broken dreams
fall like
shattered glass
making us
blind
This page is dedicated to my meanderings some dark in nature to adult in nature. Some will be frivolous and some will be serious. But all will be interesting I hope...
I am new to this kind of thing and I actually never thought I would ever do one of these. Never say never I guess. So here goes.
